CSAIST LIBRARY

Libraries are backbone of any civilized society and heart of any academic institution. The CSAIST library too believes in the transformative power of a liberal education by ensuring access to rich and diverse resources. The CSAIST Library fosters intellectual growth and offer comprehensive services related to dissemination of knowledge. The CSAIST library engages the communities it serves through its diverse collections, services, and staff. The library offers an extensive range of resources and services to support teaching and learning.

The well established library of the CSAIST caters to the need of the undergraduate and post graduate students, research scholars and the faculty by offering collections in multiple formats, providing access to worldwide information, and establishing services and learning environments responsive to users’ needs. The CSAIST Library plays an essential role in supporting the curriculum at CSAIST. The library has a very rich collection of carefully selected subject-specific documents including books, reference sources, CD-ROMs and journals.

The library honors all the suggestions received from the teaching staff, students and also visiting scholars to keep its collection up-to date and for making the services easy to use and access. The collection of the library is growing continuously on an everyday basis.

Currently the library offers a variety of services, in-person and a number of resources, in physical formats that support research, teaching, and learning and accommodate diverse learning styles. Services such as lending of books and journals, reprographic facilities and reference service are rendered by the library. The other services provided by the library to its users are Book Bank Service, Renewal of Documents; Request a Purchase, Document Reservations, etc.

Keeping in view the fast changing technologies, the library is working towards to meet the new challenges in managing and maintaining a 24 hour space and work facilities virtually in electronic formats. The library will continue to deliver and develop services to support the College’s learning and teaching activities by managing and improving access to its information resources, by teaching information literacy and study skills including plagiarism awareness, and by exploiting e-learning technologies.
